Andrew Baker, Chairman

Andrew qualified as a solicitor in 1972 and has extensive experience in corporate finance, specialising in mergers, acquisitions, IPO's, secondary issues and cross border transactions. He was previously a partner at the law firm Clyde & Co.

He is a past Chairman of the Quoted Companies Alliance and is currently non executive director of the Egyptian-British Chamber of Commerce.

Geoffrey Hoodless, Chief Executive Officer

Geoff spent thirty-seven years within the securities industry.  He has extensive experience in financial services, which spans across stockbroking, private equity, analyst, institutional sales and corporate finance.  His career in stockbroking started at Mullens & Co – the Government Broker, followed by Touche Remnant & Co, W.N. Middleton & Co, Carr Sebag & Co, Quilter Goodison & Co, W. Greenwell & Co, Scott Goff Layton, and Smith New Court.

Geoff is one of the Founding Directors of Hoodless Brennan plc, and established and ran the Analysts Department prior to his current role as Chief Executive Officer.  Geoffrey graduated in business studies and is a Fellow of the Securities and Investment Institute.  He is 59, married with two children and lives in Surrey.

John Brennan, Corporate Services Director

John is one of the Founding Directors of Hoodless Brennan plc.

With over 30 yrs experience in the finance industry, John is well known and highly respected industry figure within the Small Cap Market. John leads Hoodless Brennan's drive to open up the Small Cap Market as an investment opportunity for retail clients, which has been the reserve of institutional investors until recently. John started his career back in 1974 with Sun Alliance, and in 1980 became an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.

A father of a highly demanding large family, he spends most of his weekends standing by the parameters of various sporting fields supporting the numerous efforts of his children.

Roy Phillips, Market Making Director

Roy has spent 32 years in the City since joining Simon & Coates as a "Bluebutton" in January 1973, working as a Convertible and Fixed Interest Dealer for firms that include Fielding Newson-Smith, Wedd Durlacher Mordaunt, Kleinwort Grieveson and Garban.

He became a Member of the London Stock Exchange in 1986 and was a Founder Member of the Securities Institute. He joined Hoodless Brennan in April 1999 and commenced Market Making in October of that year, joining the Board as Market Making Director.

Jim Dolan, Director, Retail Broking

Jim has spent the last 14 years in the City (London) working for a number of smaller companies retail client stockbrokers.

In 1997 he spent a three year period working in the commodities markets specialising in base and precious metals and in 2000 he returned to the Equities market with Hoodless Brennan.

2004 saw his appointment as Regional Director and relocation to Bristol to head up HB’s regional office development programme.  January 2008 has seen Jim return to the London office in his new role as Director of Retail Broking, where his responsibility is for the Retail Client Division.
