What Investments You Can place in the Hoodless Brennan SIPP

Hoodless Brennan's SIPP's give you maximum control in the way you invest your money, offering control through the flexibility and choice available to you.

Through your Hoodless Brennan SIPP you can invest in most areas recognised by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) as a ‘Permitted Investment’, which are outlined below.

Stocks and Shares:

  • Equities, including investment trust companies, listed or dealt on any stock exchange recognised by HMRC.
  • Alternative Investment Market (AIM) and PLUS Markets listed companies.

  • Fixed interest securities issued by governments or other bodies.

  • Debenture stock and other loan stock.

  • Permanent Interest Bearing Shares (PIBS).

  • Convertible securities.

  • Warrants (for equities).

  • Depository Interests (CREST depository interests - CDI's) .


Commercial Property & Land: 

  • Commercial property (but not residential) within the UK.
  • Land, including development land, farmland and forestry with the UK.

  • Ground rent, rent charges, ground annuals or other annual payments reserved in respect of, or charged on or issuing out of property.

 

Other investments:

  • Deposit accounts held with any UK based deposit accounts held with any UK based deposit taker (as defined in section 481(2) of ICTA) in any currency.
  • Such other investments as Capita SIP Services may, whether as Trustee or Scheme Administrator, from time to time determine (whether for statutory or regulatory reasons or otherwise).

 

 

The following are not accepted Investments by the Hoodless Brennan SIPP:

  • Unit Trusts.

  • OIECS & Collective Schemes.

  • Shares from a savings-related share option scheme, approved profit-sharing scheme or a share incentive plan, received by a SIPP as a contribution to the scheme.

  • Futures and options relating to stocks and shares traded on a recognised futures exchange

  • Endowment policies traded by an FSA regulated person.
